1. Overview
Hive is an open-source runtime for AI coding agents. When you self-host and run Hive locally or on your own servers, your code, terminal sessions, model context, and workspaces remain entirely on your own infrastructure. We do not sell, rent, or monetize your private developer data.
2. Information We Collect on This Website
When you browse our public website (hive.admir-saheta.com):
- Aggregated Usage Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics (such as PostHog and Google Analytics) to measure visitor counts, page performance, and referring domains. IP addresses are anonymized.
- Local Preferences: We use browser storage (
sessionStorage) strictly for functional UI preferences such as audio mute state and preloader view flags.
3. Open-Source Runtime Telemetry
The Hive binary CLI and server (hive) do not phone home with your code, terminal logs, commands, or agent inputs. Any optional telemetry for crash reporting or build updates is opt-in or strictly configurable via your hive.json settings.
4. Third-Party Services & LLM Providers
When you configure Hive to communicate with agent models (e.g. Anthropic Claude, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Ollama), your interactions with those providers are governed by the respective provider's terms and privacy policies. Hive acts solely as your client-side orchestration environment.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
Because Hive runtimes store state locally in your machine's session daemon, you have total control over all persistence. Purging your local Hive storage directory immediately erases all agent logs, sockets, and history.
6. Contact & Updates
As Hive develops, we may update this policy to reflect new capabilities or Cloud offerings. Inquiries regarding data privacy can be directed via GitHub issues or directly to admir-saheta.com.
